Cougars, guanacos and foxes – they are the most common mammals you'll find roaming these mountains. The Torres Del Paine National Park located in southern Chile, Patagonia, is composed of alpine landscape, glaciers, a lake, and many rivers. When you're looking out for the many species of birds, you might want to check out the three-mountain landmark. It's referred to as Cleopatra's Needles by Lady Florence Dixie who was one of the first to visit the site and wrote about it in her novel. The park was established in 1959 and given its name in 1970, it ranks #78 on our list of AbsoluteVisits.
