Every picture will always be different from the next.

That's because it's always changing, moving and evolving. Shanghai is one of the most populated cities in China, so it's no surprise that its skyline is constantly buzzing with life. The high-rises range in architectural styles – like the Bund, located on the bank of the Huangpu River, which is a good example of 20th-century architecture. Shanghai, originally a small fishing village, is now the largest city in the Peoples Republic of China, as well as the eighth largest city in the entire world with a population of over 19 million people.
The city of Shanghai has made appearances in many famous films including: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Mission Impossible 3, and Godzilla: Final Wars.
Shanghai is also home to the largest bus system in the world with over 1,424 bus lines!
Although it no longer holds the record for worlds tallest building (see AV #24, Burj Khalifa!) Shanghai does have the Shanghai World Financial Center, the fourth tallest building in the world.
Shanghai is filled with a plethora of sky-high buildings, however; most of the skyscrapers in the city are high-rise apartments.

Blog: Quit and Travel

We grabbed some night shots pointing across the Shanghai River to the Pudong District where the major skyscrapers, including the famous Oriental Pearl and IFC buildings, reside. Next we strolled the bund which had an extremely nice walkway for pedestrians to enjoy the brilliant nighttime skyline Shanghai has to offer. We stumbled across a small 3-story building with what looked like a lighthouse connected to it and realized that it was actually a bar. It appeared to have a rooftop and this seemed like a perfect way to relax and take in the city.... read more
