The Rio Panoramic View is without question the best city view in the world. Sure you can debate the city views found in Hong Kong, New York, Sydney, and San Francisco. We've viewed all of those cities from many different angles and the views are nothing short of spectacular. But honestly, nothing comes close to Rio in this category. There is nowhere else on the planet where you will find this rugged mountainous landscape set on top of a spectacularly vast bay, outlined by some of the best beaches known to man with the sprawling city of Rio de Janeiro harmoniously situated in between the plethora of natural beauty. • The best view in Rio, this panoramic view can be found at the peak of Corcovado Mountain, 710 meters (2,300 feet) above sea level, right at the base of the famous Christ the Redeemer Statue.
• The statue of Christ is 30 meters high (98 feet) and over 70 years old, serving as the main symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro, built in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Brazils independence in 1921 (the statue wasnt completed until 10 years later, however).
• The peak of the mountain is a large granite dome, allegedly the highest such formation in Brazil.
