It's the best brain freeze you'll ever have.

It's no surprise this made #19 on our AbsoluteVisit list; Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain in the world, standing almost 30,000 ft. high. Or imagine 20 Empire State Buildings stacked on top of each other. Over 4,000 people have attempted to climb the mountain, but only a few have been successful. It's the journey of a lifetime, the Tibetans call it “Mother Goddess of the Earth” and we can see why. We wonder what people call it on their climb up?

The tallest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest rises to a stunning 29,028 feet (8,848 meters) above sea level, which is equivalent to almost 20 Empire State Buildings stacked on top of each other.
There are multiple countries visible from the summit of Mt. Everest including Tibet, India and Nepal. Talk about a grand view!
Every year, due to geological forces, Mt. Everest actually rises a few millimeters.
The average temperature at the summit of Mt. Everest is -33 degrees Fahrenheit (-36 degrees Celsius) but reaches as low as -76 degrees Fahrenheit (-60 degrees Celsius) at times.
Mt. Everest is also home to the highest life form on Earth: a small black jumping spider that has been found as high as 22,000 feet (6,700 meters) on the mountain.
Over 2,000 people have reached the summit of Mt. Everest, the youngest being 13 years old and the oldest being 71 years old. Not everyone makes it to the top, however; there are said to be approximately 120 dead bodies of climbers on the mountain. The most common cause of death during the trek is avalanches. Cappadocia
