This is not somewhere you go on a school trip or family vacation, you could, but that's not the point of Vegas or the Las Vegas Strip for that matter. The 4.2 mile stretch has been designated an All-American Road. All the major hotels, casinos and resorts are located here, along with some of the most dramatic symbols of modern architecture you can find today – including its outstanding lights and high rises.

The Las Vegas Strip is home to the largest mechanical neon sign in the world, also known as Vegas Vic.
There are over 155,000 hotel rooms in the city of Las Vegas.
The Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas has more rooms (3,933 to be exact) than there are residents living in Bellagio, Italy!
Every minute, the Volcano at the Mirage hotel circulates 119,000 gallons of water.
The Sphinx replica at the Luxor in Las Vegas is actually 101 feet high, making it taller than the original version in Egypt.
The Arc de Triomphe replica in Las Vegas is two-thirds the size of the original, located in Paris.
The suite from the 2010 hit movie the Hangover in Caesars palace does not actually exist; however, the room used for filming is room 2452 in the Augustus tower. This is also where all of the hallway and elevator scenes were filmed for the movie.
