There are many beautiful things in Florence which is why it is consistently recognized as one of the most stunning and charming cities in the world. What's not to love about cobblestone streets, 500 year old buildings, 300 year old statues that adorn classical European piazza's, and of course, art surrounding you at all times. However, there is one piece of beauty that always sticks out and that is the magnificent and rare view of Florence from the nearby hillsides.

There are several great locations to take in the view of this postcard-quality city which hugs the Arno River. Which one is your favorite is up to you. Is it the river that does not separate the city, but instead acts as its main artery? Is it the several hundred year-old bridges that seem to never end as they shrink into the distance? Is it the incredible sunsets that seem to perfectly sit on top of the hills surrounding Florence? Is it the red-roofed buildings that have brought flocks of tourist for decades?

• Also known as Piazza de Michelangelo, this sightseeing peak in the city of Florence, Italy was originally designed to be a monument base dedicated to Michelangelo.
• Originally the monument was meant to house copies of some of Michelangelos most famous works, including a bronze copy of his famous work David. It took nine pairs of oxen to bring the models up to the monument. Now these models can be found in other locations throughout Florence.
• The hillside building at this spectacular sight can now be found as a restaurant, but was originally meant to be a museum for Michelangelos works.
