The beauty of the city and the walls that surround it will make it hard to leave.

The walls run 1.24 miles around the city and continuously vary in width. They were first intended to protect the city, and today they tightly package a city with all its wonders, making it an AbsoluteVisit to check out. Also known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," it used to be a competition to Venice. Today it's listed as a World Heritage Site for its unique artifacts, churches and colorful festivals.

Dubrovnik, a town situated in on the Croatian coast is also referred to as "The Pearl of the Adriatic".
Writer George Bernard Shaw visited Dubrovnik and wrote, "Those who search for paradise on Earth should come and see Dubrovnik".
Dubrovnik hosts a famous summer festival, one of its oldest events in which the entire city turns into different stages upon which musical, theatrical and folklore programs are presented. This festival has been included in the calendar of world festivals as one of the most famous cultural events in the world since 1956.
There are 15,500 exhibits in the Dubrovnik Museum at the Duke's palace.
