Photo of the Day – Yellow Robed Guard at the Golden Temple – Amritsar, India

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, is a fantastic destination for many reasons and one of them being for the people that surround the temple. Brad and I not only met some very nice people around the temple, but also saw some very interesting and authentic characters here. In this picture, we captured one of the many guards around the temple grounds.

There are some fantastic colors in this picture which are enhanced by the white framing of the columns. Also, who carries a spear!? I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty awesome that this guy has a full-on metal tipped spear with him, but really? Yes, really. The world never ceases to amaze.
