I’m laughing at myself for picking this photo to share. I’ve again chosen a set of repeating objects! I’m beginning to wonder if this is simply my obsession or if others actually agree with my theory that repeating objects make for great photography. At any rate, I did not use a telephoto lens for this shot because there was a wall directly behind my back that prevented it. Additionally, the room was pretty dark and I was stuck hand-holding. As it was, I had to crank up the ISO very high to avoid blur and get the shot off.
Since I was using the entry level D3000, you can see some ugly grain on the bottom sections of the tanks. Had I been using the superior D7000, which does a much better job with high ISO shots, none of this grain would be visible. More expensive cameras are about a lot more than just additional megapixels!
I actually have quite a thing for Malbecs. Has anyone tried a great one recently?
