This photo is also a reminder to me that the New York City skyline is special. Will and I rank it as one of the Top 100 Places to visit on the planet. There are hundreds of cities around the world with big skyscrapers that don’t come close to making that list. If you haven’t been to the Top of the Rock at sunset to look at the magnificent view from the top of Manhattan – GO! I promise that it will be one of the top 100 places you ever visit in your life.
Can anyone guess how I was able to take this photo looking back at the observation platform? I can confirm that there was no glass barrier between my camera and the view and I was not hand holding my camera between a tiny opening in a barrier. This shot required over 30 seconds of exposure which rules out “you took it from a helicopter”. Any ideas how I did it?
