Photo of the Day – Tegallalang Rice Terraces – Bali, Indonesia

As we drove through Central Bali, we were guided towards these rice terraces of the side of the road that were absolutely picture perfect (if I do say so myself!). The terraces which provide a beautiful harmony of nature and man are just the type you “expect” to see, but are somewhat hard to find.

With such a beautiful scene, you would think snapping a picture of this would be easy. Although taking this picture was not overly difficult, I did find that adding some contrast aided in making the terraces ‘pop’. Due to the incredible amount of green in this picture, the blacks and whites in the photo which ultimately divide the terraces needed to be enhanced.
