Wide Open Faucet – Iguazu Falls, Brazil

Photo of the Day – Wide Open Faucet – Iguazu Falls, Brazil

Don’t you love it when you check into those really fancy hotels with the shower heads so big that it feels like a waterfall is crashing down onto your dome while you stand there in pure bliss? This picture is the exact image that jumps into my head as the hot water floods down over my shut eyes.

Dozens of Falls at Iguazu Falls – Iguazu Falls, Brazil

Brad and I were lucky enough to be able to check-out Iguazu falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides. The falls actually acts as a boarder to the two countries. This picture was taken from the Brazilian side and helps to highlight the shear number of falls. Dozens of waterfalls plummet through a dense tropical rain forest creating a true paradise.

Rainbow through Iguazu Falls – Iguazu Falls, Brazil

Photo of the Day – Rainbow through Iguazu Falls – Iguazu Falls, Brazil

I can remember the exact moment when we saw this rainbow at Iguazu falls. We were on the Brazil side of the falls (our first day) and were walking out on a long boardwalk-like walkway which takes you over the river and right in front of a big portion of the falls. We spotted the rainbow and I quickly snapped off the photo.

As you can probably also see, there was a ton of mist from the falls which meant that everyone was getting soaked. It was the type of mist that makes you think it’s not that bad and then 30 seconds later you realize you’re completely drenched. But, with temperatures around 100 F, the water was refreshing and quite welcome!
