I spent Christmas this year with my family in Tokyo. I took a long walk on a cold night through the bright streets of East Shinjuku. Armed with my new Nikon 70-200mm lens, I was able to capture a sampling of the lights. I say “sampling” because you could walk around for thirty minutes in Shinjuku and you would never escape the bright lights. This same scene goes on for blocks and blocks and blocks. In addition to all of the lights, there are always thousands upon thousands of locals walking around the area creating one of the top 5 places to visit in Japan.
The East Shinjuku lights are the most impressive lights I have seen in Asia. Is there somewhere better?
