If you think the animals are the only reason to book a trip to the Galapagos Islands, let this picture show you otherwise. The animals are certainly the main attraction of this famous archipelago located 500 miles off of the west coast of Ecuador, but the landscapes you encounter touring the islands are certainly worthy of a look on their own.
I took this picture of the sun setting behind Pinnacle Rock while touring the islands back in February this year. If you look off into the distance you can see a pair of boats floating on the ocean water just to the right of Pinnacle Rock. The 20 passenger boat on the left is what I cruised around on for the week.
