Photo of the Day – Largest Single Malt Scotch Collection – Edinburgh, Scotland

I took a trip up to Scotland, specifically Edinburgh, primarily on accident as I missed my flight to Italy from London. It turned out to not be so bad and this was one of the days that spoke to me as truly Scottish. I ventured to what I at first thought might be a tourist trap, The Scotch Museum. The Museum itself offers a combined museum, tasting, and collection viewing which I thought was quite nice!

The picture shows about 1/3rd or less of the actual collection that is housed in the museum and contains XXXXXXX bottles! None of the bottles are opened and not only is the volume itself impressive, but many of the individual bottles were quite unique as well.

The collection is housed in glass cases with classic under-lit shelving. The lighting in the room of the collection is dimly lit adding to the dramatic lighting.
