What I love about this photo is the crisp blue of the ice coupled with its jagged edges. Unlike a uniform fence, it is intriguing to look back and forth at the edge of the Perito Moreno wall in anticipation of a giant piece of ice plunging into the water below.
In fact, you really can’t get very close to the Glacier for safety reasons. When a 60 foot (~20m) piece of ice falls from a 100 feet (~30m) in the air, it can do some damage! Look out below . . .
