On our trip to the Mekong Delta, Brad and I took a boat tour of the Mekong Delta which took us directly through their Floating Fruit Market. The concept is simple. Instead of stalls setup for vendors to sell their goods, boats congregate on the river offering up all types of fruits and vegetables.
Each boat raises a large bamboo pole with the fruit or vegetable it is selling on top of it. Next, as you can see in the photo, the buyers pull their boats along-side the sellers and make their purchase! To move the goods, they toss them on over.
