The Galapagos Islands offer much more to look at than just sea lions, turtles and big exotic birds. Finches play a very large, albeit quiet role in the Galapagos. The diverse types of little finches spread over the island are not only beautiful to the eye but they are the foundation of Darwin’s theory of evolution. I spotted this colorful yellow finch hanging out on the beach watching the waves crash into the Galapagos sand.
