Photo of the Day – Cruising Along Frasier Island – Frasier Island, Australia

Frasier Island is the world’s largest sand island and is a massive national park located off the East Coast of Australia. One of the more popular ways to explore the island is renting an off-road vehicle along with the necessary camping equipment and make a two day, two night stay on the island.

Brad and I took this course of travel in 2010 and were put into a group with others from around the globe. The vehicle they arm you with is a 20+ year old manual transmission land cruiser. The island doesn’t really have ‘roads’ but does have large trails through the forests and it uses the beaches as a sort of highway around the island. I snapped this picture while hanging my head out of the window as we cruised along the eastern shore of Frasier Island.
