OK, this pillar is not really “forbidden”, but it is located in The Forbidden City! The detail you see on this pillar hints at the incredible detail you will find throughout the Forbidden City. In the background you can see the classic pagoda style orange roofs that adorn the 9,999 rooms of the city. Finally, in the very back you can see Jingshan pagoda which sits atop a small hill next to the Forbidden City.
